TowingService.co.za is a free quote service for towing in South Africa. Whether your car will not start in the parking lot, a truck has broken down on the N1, you need a car moved across the country, or you want a tow bar and a trailer before the holidays, one request reaches the operators and suppliers near you.
How it works
Fill in the dispatch docket at the bottom of the page: what needs towing, moving, fitting or buying, the vehicle and its condition, where it is and where it must go, and how to reach you. For tows and transport the docket draws the route and works out a rough figure from a call-out fee and a rate per km. We send the request to operators and suppliers who work in your area, and they quote you directly. You compare and decide. It costs you nothing.
Everything we take requests for
From a flatbed for an automatic that died in a Sandton basement to a heavy wrecker for a truck on Van Reenen's Pass, a 4x4 stuck on a farm road near Tzaneen, a car sent from Johannesburg to Cape Town, a tow bar fitted before a December trip to the coast, a car trailer for a weekend, or a rollback tow truck for a new recovery business.

Getting towing quotes you can compare
Two quotes for "a tow" can mean very different things. Check that each one names the type of truck (wheel-lift or flatbed), the call-out fee and how many kilometres it includes, the rate per km after that, any after-hours or weekend surcharge, winching or extra labour, tolls, and the storage rate per day if the car ends up in a yard. For equipment, check the rating (towing capacity, line pull, breaking strain), what fitting and wiring cost, and the warranty. The cheapest quote that leaves out the flatbed or the storage fee is rarely the cheaper one.
